Happy National Wellness Month! This August, we invite you to join us on a simple yet powerful journey to boost your health and vitality. Our focus is on creating small, intentional habits that lead to profound, lasting change.
To kick things off, we're starting with the foundation of all health: Hydration
It sounds simple, but as we age, our body's ability to retain water can decrease, and we may not feel as thirsty as we once did. Proper hydration is a cornerstone of functional medicine. It impacts everything from joint lubrication and energy levels to brain function and the youthful glow of your skin.
This Week's Wellness Challenge: Drink half your body weight in ounces of water every day. If you weigh 150 lbs, that’s 75 oz of water. This can be a game-changer for your energy and focus!
Tip: Start your day with a big glass of water, and keep a reusable bottle with you as a reminder. Add a squeeze of lemon or a few cucumber slices for a refreshing twist.
